One of my duties has been to represent our presbytery to the other governing bodies of our church.  A highlight last month was meeting our General Assembly Moderator Joan Gray, who preached at three morning services at University Church on April 20 and then participated in a forum the day after at Rosary Heights that included the six presbytery executives of our synod plus our synod transitional executive.  Her humble servant leadership that weekend impacted me and leaves me rejoicing that GA elected her moderator in 06. If you heard her preach at UPC I suspect you know what I mean.   As one person said to me lately, "She was the real deal!"  I thank God for her.

I have not made future vocational plans but will discern God's pathway for me in the coming weeks.  I look forward to thanking you for your partnership at our May 20 Presbytery meeting at Lake Burien PC, where we will be hosted by our ethnic ministry teams and their commissioned lay pastors. I know what's on the dinner menu and you won't want to miss it!
